Local Food Policy Summit

  • Quality Inn & Suites Ames Conference Center Near ISU Campus 2601 East 13th Street Ames, IA, 50010 United States (map)

Together, we have made great progress in 2023-2024 growing Iowa's Local Food Programs, including through Choose Iowa and Rural Innovation grants. Continuing to grow more food in Iowa is a goal shared by many different groups to continue sustainable economic development and feeding our communities Iowa-grown food.

Please join us in Ames on December 6th from 12pm-3:30pm for an entirely local food meal (with BBQ and tofu option, roasted root vegetables, salad, and an apple crisp for dessert), followed by conversations and presentations about the 2025 Legislative Session and our goals for continuing to grow Iowa's food system.

Please register to attend here (event is totally free). The Local Food Policy Summit is part of the Iowa Farmers Union 109th Annual Convention (full convention information and registration here).

Thanks and reach out with any questions!
