Join the Iowa Food System Coalition Steering Committee for 2025
If you’re passionate about Iowa’s food system and want to help shape its future, we have an exciting opportunity for you! The Iowa Food System Coalition (IFSC) is currently accepting applications for three new Steering Committee members for the year 2025.
The Steering Committee plays a vital role in guiding the Coalition’s strategic initiatives, fostering partnerships, and advocating for a more resilient and equitable food system across Iowa. By joining, you’ll have the chance to:
Collaborate with a diverse network of food system leaders.
Advocate for important food-related issues and influence statewide policy.
Expand your professional network and develop leadership skills.
Be compensated with an annual stipend of $778, with a goal to increase this to $1,620 as funding becomes available.
Time Commitment & Expectations
Monthly Meetings: 2-hour virtual meeting (plus preparation).
Additional Involvement: Approximately 2.5 hours per month for committee work, outreach, and events.
Total Time: About 4.5 hours per month.
